SS-US · How It Works

A single-path fair value engine
built for US equities.

When consensus data is reliable, one anchor is enough.
SS-US uses Wall Street consensus EPS as its starting point, adjusts for quality and current market regime,
and outputs a 4-scenario target price range.

SINGLE PATH

Why single-path
for the US?

The Korean SS-Code needs two anchors because consensus coverage is sparse. The US is different. Consensus data is abundant and reasonably accurate — one anchor is sufficient to produce a reliable target price.

SS-US · Single Path

SS-US

Applied to stocks where Wall Street consensus EPS is available. Consensus serves as the anchor, adjusted by quality score and regime multiple to compute the target price. One starting point produces a clean, unambiguous output.

SS-Code (KR) · Dual Path

SS-KR

Most Korean small-caps lack sell-side coverage. Two anchors are used simultaneously — current price (Path A) and sector-average PER (Path B). The gap between them reveals undervaluation or overvaluation.

What they share: Both receive the Regime Engine's current output as an input and adjust target PER dynamically. The same company receives a higher target in BULL conditions and a more conservative one in CRISIS conditions.

INPUT VARIABLES

What goes in.
What comes out.

SS-US takes four key inputs: consensus EPS, quality score, regime, and BPS. These combine to generate a 4-scenario target price output.

📊

Consensus EPS

Wall Street analyst consensus forward EPS. The core anchor for target price calculation. If a Top-Down Beat prediction exists for the stock, the corrected EPS is used instead.

Quality Score

Composite measure of profitability, growth, and financial health. Higher quality justifies a premium PER above the market average; lower quality warrants a discount.

🌐

Regime (US Regime Engine)

Current market regime determines the PER band boundaries. Multiples expand in GOLDILOCKS and contract in CRISIS. The same stock receives different target prices across regimes.

🛡️

BPS (Book Value Per Share)

Used as the minimum floor for the downside scenario. No target price output falls below BPS regardless of how the other inputs are configured.

OUTPUT

Four target prices.
Four scenarios.

A single target price hides its assumptions. SS-US presents four scenario-based levels — each with transparent logic the investor can evaluate directly.

P_target Base Target
Core scenario. Quality score and current regime multiple applied.
P_high Upside Target
±10–20% from base depending on regime. Momentum continuation scenario.
P_low Conservative Floor
BPS-anchored downside floor. Worst-case scenario lower bound.
P_surprise Beat Case
Triggered only when Top-Down corrected EPS exceeds consensus by 25%+.
HOW IT WORKS

From input
to target price.

1
STEP 01 · Regime Check

Query current US Regime Engine output

Before computing anything, SS-US queries the current US regime. The regime determines the PER band upper and lower limits that will be applied throughout the rest of the calculation.

Current regime → PER band set
2
STEP 02 · Anchor PER Calculation

Current price ÷ consensus forward EPS = anchor PER

This is SS-US's single starting anchor. If a Top-Down corrected EPS exists for the stock, it takes priority over raw consensus.

Anchor PER confirmed
3
STEP 03 · Quality Adjustment

Quality score shifts the target PER up or down

The bottom-up quality score is applied to the anchor PER. High-quality companies receive a premium PER; lower-quality companies receive a discount. The result is the target PER.

Target PER confirmed
4
STEP 04 · 4-Scenario Target Price Output

P_target / P_high / P_low / P_surprise

Target PER × consensus EPS = P_target. Regime band adjustments produce P_high and P_low. BPS floor is applied to P_low. If a Beat prediction exceeds consensus by 25%+, P_surprise is generated as an additional upside scenario.
